Mh gen good bomber cat2/19/2023 In the long run and for some fights, having felynes with you will be more annoying than helpful, as they might be catching aggro and drawing the monster from you when you want to have him paying attention to, for example, stun his head. And there is no other logic rather than giving the fights some extra annoyance or randomness, like when a Renophlos or Bullfango makes you eat that hit that you tried to dodge because "fuck you". They shouldn't be much of an issue, though. They might respawn, but if they are causing you that much trouble, clear them first. Anyway, you are having trouble with the small annoying monsters around? Fine, kill them. Maybe is confirmation bias from my side, but I spent around 1k hours in MHFU and later on Tri and P3rd felt so much easier. I'd say second gen was harder than third because how weird hitboxes were and they revamped the combat system for 3rd generation. What are some good tips you guys could offer me for soloing Monster hunter Unite with my little cat buddy? Obviously I can stun the boss, or use traps to hold him in place, but what about handeling all of the trash everywhere? This was a rank 3 boss fight, I don't know how I'll manage later down the road. With my cat friend in tow, I did finally beat the raging, go run and heal every 3 seconds congala, but it was still pretty rough. The little guy doesn't really hurt very much, but at least he can draw attention off me, which helps substantially. Regardless, I learned that bomb variants seem utter useless(takes to long to fire, often misses, can team kill), and that the melee variants seem the way to go. I soon found the companion you get, (the cats) and was dissapointed I utilized them so late in the game, when I could have been training them on the weaker fights. monkey, sandshark etc.? They seem perfectly content with something up the foodchain being 3 feet from them. Why don't other enemies in the zone runaway when a giant ass wyvern flies in. So, I ended up clearing zones before I encountered the boss, so that when he DID run, he wouldn't have help. I just learned to roll diagonally towards them and do side swipes with my great sword while adjacent to them. They just spam leap away whenever I get near. They essentially gang bang me with the boss, and its hard as hell for me to take them all on at once. My problem is the damn raptors and other trash mobs that inhabit the same zone. They may have hurt, but they were easy as hell to predict,(significantly so compared to Ultimate monster hunter 3), so I had no trouble dodging and countering. My main problem wasn't the bosses itself. With better armor, I could tank a few more hits, but it still hurt like hell. Borrowing from my Dark Souls Mentality, I went to get better gear, and practice. That you get killed in practically 2 hits, if that. The starting armor and the stuff you can buy is so inferior, +2 armor per piece really?. I got a decent level sword, I think it did like 580 damage, with green sharpness, and proceeded to take on congala, or however you spell the large pink monkey in the jungle. I crafted some decent armor for my blademaster, wielding a greatsword btw, stocked up items, food, and etc. I've played monster hunter 3, so I know the basics. I went through the first couple of missions without difficulty, and took on the, "boss" monsters, which were just resized raptors/buffalo. As it was a handheld system, I just went for solo.
